Yesterday Senator Warner cosponsored a resolution to mark today, the 10th anniversary of the Space Shuttle Columbia tragedy, as NASA Remembrance Day.

“We give our solemn thanks to the five men and two women who gave their lives aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia ten years ago today,” said Senator Warner. “These individuals, including Arlington native and Navy captain David McDowell Brown, are part of a long line of American heroes who have worked tirelessly in the face of great danger to push the boundaries of human knowledge.  They live on in our memories and in the efforts of those who have continued their work at NASA, including at Virginia’s own NASA Wallops and Langley Research Center.”
