Statement of Senator Warner on Bipartisan Terrorism Risk Insurance Program

Jan 08 2015

"Today the Senate approved by a broadly bipartisan vote to reauthorize the Terrorism Risk Insurance Program (TRIA), which creates a backstop to ensure our economy will not suffer additional shocks in the unfortunate event of an attack. By reauthorizing TRIA, which I co-sponsored last Congress, we avoid impeding our nation’s economic recovery. I’m very pleased this reauthorization now moves to the President for his signature."
