Senator Warner was in attendance for President Obama's address to Congress and the nation tonight.  Here is what he said after the speech:

“The President offered an honest assessment of our economic challenges tonight, and effectively and honestly explained what’s at stake for our families, businesses and communities.

“In the coming days, we will work to address the foreclosure crisis and shore-up the real estate market, and we also will take steps to repair our banking system so that credit will once again flow to consumers and businesses.

“The President once again sought to find common ground, and I will continue to join him in reaching across the aisle as we work to restore confidence and repair our troubled economy. I also believe it was important that the President repeated his commitment tonight to long-term deficit reduction and to honest budgets as the economy rebounds.”
