Senator Warner did a series of interviews with local television stations around Virginia this afternoon to discuss how we can fix the mess over the AIG rentention payments and make sure it doesn't happen again in the future.
Senator Warner announced today that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has released nearly $2.3 million in federal stimulus funds to Virginia's food assistance agencies.
Senator Warner joined his colleagues in demanding that AIG Chairman/CEO Edward Liddy renegotiate the contracts of $165 million in retention payments to employees who were in part responsible for the insurance giant’s near collapse.
Senator Warner joined his colleagues in approving the Omnibus Lands bill this afternoon. The legislation promotes outdoor recreation, ecotourism, land conservation and wildlife preservation in Southwest Virginia.
