“The Treasury Department and IRS ruled today that legally married same-sex couples, no matter where they live or move, will now be treated as married for federal tax purposes. This is a great step forward for Marriage Equality. It provides consistency and certainty, and follows the Supreme Court order to provide access to all of the benefits, responsibilities and protections under federal tax laws that every American deserves.”
