Education & Workforce Training

Senator Warner is committed to ensuring that Virginians have access to quality and affordable schooling and specialized training. Virginia’s economy relies on a strong education system, but Senator Warner knows that student loans are crippling young people and their families. Having paid for his own education with student loans, Senator Warner knows first-hand the financial challenges facing those who seek higher education. Senator Warner supports commonsense solutions to make education more affordable and relieve the burden of student debt for Virginians.

Senator Warner also knows that a traditional four-year degree isn’t the only path to success. That’s why he supports an increased focus on industry certifications and lifelong learning and retraining to create more opportunities for good paying jobs for Virginians.

Additionally, Senator Warner recognizes that AI tools increasingly alter job requirements across sectors. In Congress, Senator Warner is a leader on helping workers adapt to an AI-driven economy, supporting research into how AI is impacting the workforce and legislation that incentivizes businesses to train and make long-term investments in their employees.
