Statement of Sen. Warner on Nomination of Patricia Millett for U.S. Court of Appeals

WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Mark R. Warner (D-VA), issued a statement today following the President’s nomination of Patricia Millett, of Alexandria, VA, to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit:

“I strongly support the President’s nomination of Virginia’s Patricia Millett to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals,” Senator Warner said.  “Patricia has an unparalleled record of service in both Republican and Democratic administrations, as well as in the public and private sector.  She also has a wealth of hands-on experience, having argued before the US Supreme Court 32 times, second-most of any woman in our history.  Well-qualified candidates such as Patricia should be allowed to come to a full vote in the Senate.”
