Close to 1,500 job seekers came out to the Monster.com “Keep America Working” Career Fair today, which was co-hosted by Senator Warner and included nearly 50 public and private employers with jobs to offer.
After the overwhelming response and feedback from our March 8th federal job fair near Fredericksburg, which attracted over 7,000 job-seekers, our office decided to team up with the experts at Monster.com, who have hosted career fairs and workshops all across the country.
The employers at today’s fair — which included AXA Financial Advisors, Knowledge Learning Corporation, Maden Technologies, Nordstrom and the U.S. Secret Service — had a combined 2,500 job opportunities. Some interviewed and provided job offers on-the-spot. In addition, our partners at Monster.com also provided hourly workshops and useful seminars focusing on effective job search strategies and tips for navigating the federal employment process.
